Sing Gently As One

A favourite 'lockdown' project which I was Executive Producer on. Moved by the breadth of the pandemic and its effect on society, composer Eric Whitacre created a new piece of music especially for his Virtual Choir. 17,572 singers, aged 5–88, from 129 countries recorded their videos from home, coming together in a collective initiative.

59 Productions and BAFTA-winning audio engineers Floating Earth rose to the technical and creative challenge of combining  the 17,000+ audio and video files to create the final film. The image above shows the final frame, made up of the individual faces of each of the singers from around the world.
